Do you surf mostly Gorda? I have only been there a few times and 3 out of the 4 times it was knee to waist high and glassy, but to small to surf.can we still drive on the beach to the shellbanks? Hows the jetties looking over there now they have extended it, or have they started or complete that project?

Well, I live only 25 miles from Matagorda Beach, so I go just about every weekend or so. Yes, the beach is drivable, and the Shellbanks is no problem to get to. As far as the new jetties go, they are still going through construction, but from the looks of it, they should be done very soon . I also surf Surfside, Quintana(my favorite spot), and G-Town. If I can ever get any time off work, I plan to go to SPI and Port A.
